The Zhuhai Municipal Bureau of Commerce, established in August 2014, is responsible for investment attraction, domestic and foreign trade and economic cooperation, market development and commercial services. This includes implementing policies, guidelines, laws and regulations relating to the commercial work of Zhuhai, Guangdong Province, and the state, drafting local commercial rules and regulations , and formulating relevant policies, planning and management measures. - Implement laws, regulations and policies of Zhuhai, Guangdong Province and the state concerning investment promotion, domestic and foreign trade, economic cooperation, market construction, commercial services and electronic port construction.
- Draft, organize and implement relevant local regulations, rules and policies, and formulate industrial development planning.
- Formulate, coordinate and guide the development of relevant industrial standards.
- Manage services, supervise industry, administrative law enforcement, and foreign communications and cooperation.
- Undertake other matters assigned by the Zhuhai Municipal People’s Government and other superior departments.
Jinwan District, located in the geographic axis of Zhuhai， is one of the 3 administrative regions of Zhuhai, with the land area of 447.63 km2. With a stereo transportation network, Jinwan is surrounded with Zhuhai airport, Zhuhai port, the junction station of Guangzhou–Zhuhai railway as well as airport expressway, Jiangmen-Zhuhai expressway, Zhuhai-Hong Kong expressway, Zhuhai road and the being constructed Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge (about to be constructed by 2017), and is the significant transportation center connecting Hong Kong, Macau and the mainland. Since the establishment in 2001, Jinwan District built the National Aviation Industrial Park, national biomedical park, Sanzao Science Park of national level and provincial Development Zone Liangang Industrial Zone, aviation, medicine, new energy and electronic appliances 3 + 1 industrial cluster. The leading enterprises of bio-pharmaceutical industry are United Laboratory, Livzon and By-health. In advance, the total output value of the bio-pharmaceutical industry in 2016 was 15 billion RMB which represented 70% of Zhuhai.
